The Story Behind the Therapist.
Finding Inspiration in Every Story
My passion for therapy and life itself is ignited by the fascinating diversity of human experiences. With over 8 billion people on our planet, each person brings a unique story, perspective, and set of challenges. I'm inspired by the resilience of individuals navigating their paths through life's ups and downs. My aim is to deeply understand these unique journeys and support individuals in overcoming their personal "hurts, habits, and hangups.
Influences from Literature and Film.
Books and movies significantly influence my worldview. Paulo Coelho’s works, particularly "The Alchemist," with their themes of acceptance and courage, have left a lasting impact on me. Meanwhile, "Nacho Libre" might seem like an unconventional influence, but its exploration of authenticity, identity, and resilience echoes deeply with my personal and professional ethos. It’s a reminder to live authentically and embrace life’s challenges with both seriousness and a sense of humor.
Shaped by Personal Experiences.
My personal journey through ADHD, addiction, trauma, marriage, parenting, and career transitions deeply informs my approach to therapy. These experiences enhance my empathy and connection with clients, reinforcing my belief in the power of gradual healing. Embracing the present, holding onto hope, and finding growth in pain are cornerstones of my therapeutic philosophy.
A Lesson in Humility and Growth
A crucial lesson that life has taught me is the importance of humility—the recognition that there is always more to learn. This understanding shapes my approach to therapy, where I am constantly learning, listening, and growing alongside my clients. Therapy is a collaborative journey, one where we explore and guide each other towards healing and self-discovery.
